Upcoming Foreclosure Auction in Boston

If you’re looking to purchase a foreclosed home in the greater Boston area, the upcoming auction, being held at the the Boston Quincy Marriott, should be a great opportunity. About 100 bank-owned properties from Boston to Charlton will be sold to the top bidder on January 31st, during a ballroom auction at the hotel.

Dallas-based auctioneer Hudson & Marshall will auction 101 homes valued at $25,000 to $339,000 beginning at 1 p.m. on Jan. 31, said auctioneer spokeswoman Crystal Wright. A smaller auction of 28 western Massachusetts homes will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place.

“By the time banks come to us, they are obviously anxious and motivated to sell,” said Wright.

Hudson & Marshall conducts reserve auctions, meaning there are no minimum starting bids. Buyers can bid online at the auctioneer’s Web site, www.hudsonandmarshall.com.
